QNSue ... what a special addition to your PC with your own artwork The first pic shows, but unfortunately, not the second. Was this a pic of your pony Strawberry? or another favourite steed? Totally curious what the 2nd pic will be! |
Picture one and two is showing up for me....why me and not you QuiltE??? One is head of a horse, and two is the 'whole horse' ....both are young colts, not my mare.

Anael...progress again. That little guy is a real fighter! I'm so happy for you. Mirabelle...again another winner. I bet your daughter loves it. Hummm...we can pretend to be Superman and peek at the new MBs...but pretending just doen't work too well through the computer screens. I agree with QuiltE...send you DH on a fishing vacation but do have some very special time for each other. Honchey...all packed yet? carrie...looking forward to seeing your finished quilt. You certainly accomplish a lot when you get to the club house. Jeanie...I like your quilt without cornerstones. Nice progress! OK...I guess I missed it but I haven't figured out just where you are now. I thought the family was coming to you. JanRN...is the new machine getting any work yet? Janie...are you home now? DD love the eagle atop the tree--thanks for the pic. It gives us all a perspective of where you live. I was just telling GS Zeke when I saw my first one about 35 years ago. A March day with snow lingering on a plowed hillside field. Took a second look when the "field" moved and flew up. Now they are here every winter. A gorgeous sight when they are soaring as well. GrannyQ did a wonderful job on your block.
I can't wait to show Emily your horse drawings, QNS. She will love them. I really like the darker blue, Jeanie. GGal Yes to both. I'm at DD's in WI watching the 8 and 10 yo. Left Monday home tomorrow. Meanwhile back at the farm DS and family from NC drove in today. 3 yo opens the door and yells "We're here" and no one there to answer as DH was at an appt. How disappointing for her. Mom and Dad knew where we were all at--other DS was still doing chores so he did the welcoming. Back to supper. Pork chops/rice/cooked carrots and apple salad. Later. Hope my block arrived today--don't know if I have a squishy at home either. |

You guys are going to laugh when I tell you, I switched back to the original blue on my PC quilt. I had the second one up for a couple of weeks, but the more I looked at it, the more it washed out the light blue I used in the blocks. Sooo, I just went with the first one I bought. I decided not to use cornerstones on this quilt either. I'm still moving the blocks around, but not as much as when I first put them up there on the display wall.
Anael - Bram looks so tiny in that crib! Hopefully he is feeling better, I guess he would be if he has been moved from the incubator!

GrannyQ--I like your scrappy block for d_d...great job! Jeanie--I like the dark blue sashing. QNS--your drawings look great...good idea to make them into blocks and add to your PC quilt. Well I didn't get all 3 borders on today, but was able to get everything cut (have to cut borders and then batting and backing the right size for each when doing QAYG), including binding. I did get the first border all done and 2 sides of border #2 on. I brought in tonight and have everything pinned for the next 2 sides. After school tomorrow we need to run to the grocery store and post office and then will have time in the clubhouse in the afternoon again. It is so nice to be home all week and feel good too! |

YES!!! I big ol beautiful Bald Eagle :D I new you ladies would appreciate the pic :D I felt really lucky to have my camera in the car with me that day, we pulled over and just watched it for a few minutes, makes my heart beat faster every time I see one :D
I took this pic last time I went to visit my parents house, its about 70 miles to their house, over and around two mountain ranges, it takes two hours to get there and a very scenic drive. there are ALOT of old abandon homesteads along the way, like the one in the picture. it is sweet and sad all at the same time. and always leaves me thoughtful :D |
