Here is a few of the Tissue Holders I made. These are super easy and the fun part is matching fabrics to make them. Enjoy

SulaBug 07-01-2014 06:01 PM

Jenniky............Your tissue holders are so cute & you really matched up your fabrics to look so nice. I love them all & am anxious to get started on mine. I will share pictures as soon as I get one done.

I have been making these for a couple of years. These are my latest ones that I gave to friends.

quiltmom04 07-02-2014 04:56 AM

These are all very cute, but neither Kleenex or Puffs or even generic brands in the dollar stores open on the side anymore. Anyone make tissue holders that open at the top like the new tissue packs do?

quiltingmimipj 07-02-2014 04:59 AM

These are new tissue packs by Kleenex, and they open on the top like these tissue holders.

I will have to look again. For the past year or so, it seems, I have only found one that fold over and fit in a pocket nicely.

This project was fun; once you got started it was almost hard to stop. Thank you so much for the tutorial and the fun of making them. This is what I came up with this morning.

I got some at Walmart last week and they open so that you can pull the tissue out of the top.

tissues that fit

I found I could very carefully cut a slit up the middle of the package of tissues since none seem to be sold with the opening where we need it !

This is the front and the back of the individual package. They are Kleenex and come eight in a pack. I have purchased them at Walmart and Dollar General.

Libster 07-02-2014 04:51 PM

I'm making these and key fobs for favors for our September Festival of Tables at church. Everyone loves getting them.

SewExtremeSeams 07-02-2014 06:09 PM

Thank you Quiltingmimipj for the visual. That will really help.

I hope our Walmart carries them. So often I go to look for a product that has been recommended on the QB, only to find our Walmart doesn't carry it.

Geri B 07-03-2014 04:28 AM

Lost instructions on these, can someone please direct me to it. Have been asked to make some!

gramquilter2 07-03-2014 09:29 AM

Another fun project, thanks.

Super super easy tissue holder

Sandra in Minnesota 07-03-2014 10:37 AM

They are sew much fun to make and are very addictive! For a long time it was hard to find Kleenex to fit these holders, but now I have seen them at Target and they come in packages of 4 for $1.00. Kleenex has also come out with an already-decorated packaging.

prezzy 07-03-2014 06:43 PM

The dollar store has the tissue, just take off the paper they come in and put in holder. Every one loves these..

Jenniky, thanks for the great project. These are my first attempt at making them. They will be an easy gift for whenever-whoever. I made 2 of each fabric choices in about 1/2 hour.

I am working on my squares & rectangle BOM for July, but really am anxious to sew up a few of these little jewels. All that have been posted shows just how cute they are and the interest in this project. :)

These tissue holders were really fun to make. They are kind of like a piece of Chocolate or potato chips you can not have just one. The black w/pink one is for my DSIL. I made her a hand bag with the black and used the pink fabric for the lining, she will be surprised. :)

More of my tissue holders plus the small handbags I made to match. The black, white, and red is one that I Zentangled on and it's matching tissue holder. The first two are beaded and added buttons that were in my mothers and grandmother's button boxes. This has been a fun project. Thanks.

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to share with all of you that I have taken the tissue holders that I made for this month's project & gave them to each of the Hospice caregivers that are taking care of my Mother, in her final days. Everyone was so excited to get one & they were so thankful too. So Jenniky, I THANK YOU again for choosing this great project for July. Now we wait for August, how exciting!!
