Hi everyone,
I've got two blocks for you this month - one for those who like paper piecing and one that uses hst. For you paper piecers (these patterns intimidate me, but I admire them anyway) there is Random Orbit http://www.quilterscache.com/R/RandomOrbitBlock.html To practice piecing half-square triangles and a bit more, try out Housewife http://www.quilterscache.com/H/HousewifeBlock.html I'm having major back problems so have not been able to sit at my sewing machine long enough to whip these up. I'll have the pictures of mine ready at a later time. Meanwhile, I'm looking forward to seeing what all of you make of these blocks. Happy quilting everyone. Connie |

time to dive into my stash to go shoppin'!!! :P |
I am chosing the Housewife block.
With my Christmas fabric, this will be a great challenge. Hope to share it with you, soon!! :D |

I think I'm gonna try the Random Orbit block. I know a lot of people don't like paper piecing, but I actually find it easier than a lot of other methods... I always mess up when I have to cut pieces a certain size. I'll have to look through my stash and decide which fabrics to use.

Hi,
I've finished my Housewife block, where do I post the picture of it? There doesn't seem to be a thread for pictures yet - should I start one? Thanks! Jan (I'm new - this is my first BOM for this group!) |
Oh yes, please do start another thread for the pictures would love to see yours.

I did the paper pieced Random Orbit pattern...
It's not perfect by all means, but from a distance I like it. |
