Sounds good Gladie!

thanks for the tips Rhonda. I'll pull one of my creams to throw in there for a controlled scrappy. I am using a light in all the blocks so far but not necessarily white/cream type...maybe light blue, light yellow, etc.

So, we'll see what happens.

You're welcome Vicki Those are just my preferences on color values. You can play with other color options and see what you like. I guess I like dramatic looks so I go for the really strong contrast in most everything I do.

Rhonda, just wanted to thank you for keeping this and the companion thread going...I haven't had a chance yet to do these up, but I am loving the companionship we have here! :) Great job!

This is a great looking quilt. I haven't bee doing these blocks, but they're all lovely. I'm close to a couple of finishes, but maybe I'll start them soon :)

Thanks Ronda for your compliments. I appreciate knowing someone is enjoying the thread. It makes it all worth doing when I know I am reaching someone.

thanks Donna about the quilt. I loved it when I saw it come out of my playing around.

Although I don't often comment--sometimes these two and one other thread is all I read on the QB some days--yes your threads are appreciated, Rhonda!

Rhonda 05-22-2013 05:24 PM

thanks G I appreciate your support. And you know how much I love seeing your minis!

I've switched my sewing room to another room--Boy has this cut into sewing time, not even little bits--but sure lets me get something done while it's RAINING!!!! G

Rhonda just love the blocks you are giving us. I would like to start making them, but really not sure if I want scrappy or coordinating fabric.

I like your 3x3 grid Rhonda!

klgreene 05-27-2013 03:31 PM

Rhonda, your #1 fan is still following you, and although I may not make all these newest blocks, I'm still making your blocks. And using your little rulers. You give me ideas just by following you. Just think of me as a fly on the wall!

Rhonda 05-27-2013 05:16 PM

glad to see you Katie! Great to hear you are still following along. I love to share so I'm sure this will continue for awhile anyway!

thanks! I'm glad you like them. I will do more 3 by 3's along the way. the 6 x 6 is my favorite and of course you can break it down into 3 x3 sections. If you disect a 6 x 6 you have 4 sections that are 3 x 3 and usually the same.

It makes it easier to sew a block together when you can see how it breaks down.

Rhonda,

How would I go about making a crazy block using your technique. I would like to make a crazy quilt that has all different kind and colored fabric in it. I hope you understand what I trying to say.

Mary do you mean scrappy instead of crazy? if you want to make a scrappy then you could use all hte same color as in all greens for where the green is placed but use all diff green prints. and if there is red then all diff red prints.
