YAY, IT'S DONE!
Now that the other projects are done I finally got a chanceto finish this one for me! I’m not a “scrappy”person at heart but this one may have changed my mind. As noted in an earlier post, I used scrapsfrom remnants left from my late mom’s sewing projects. The fabrics are old and older and of different content: cotton, blends, poly, tightly woven, looselywoven, etc., but they all seem to play well together. I like that! I used the remnants to make memory quilts for my three sisters and fournieces, and this quilt uses the true scraps. Mom’s remnants are pretty much gone. The quilt is doubly special because I pieced the top using my mom’s 1935Singer 15-90, the very machine on which I learned to sew.
Thanks, again, Judy for a great pattern and the fun timewith some awesome ladies. I’m lookingforward to the next ride, whenever to get around to it.

Evia, your quilt it super special. What a great keepsake! I really like the way your stipling in the sashing worked out.

Evie, I agree, the fabrics really work. I like your interpretation of the of the edge with the larger blocks. Great job.

I love all the quilts shown here! I'm almost afraid to show mine, but my DH loves it, so I guess it's mainly a man's quilt colors. Anyway, it's going to a wonderful couple we became great friends with in Wisconsin, and I think he'll claim it.

Ligia, Judy's instructions (at posts #1, 351 and 634) called for using 4-1/2" scrap squares for 40" x 56" or 56" x 72" quilts. However, my squares are only 4", so my quilt is smaller, 50" x 62". Judy posted additonal instructions for 4" and 5" squares at #660.

My stars are two-toned because I didn't have enough of either fabric to make them one or the other. ;) And I didn't add a border because there is not enough of any of mom's fabrics for one and I didn't want to add new fabric.
