Thank you Dotty, that is so nice of you to say. I sure hope it is, getting excited to put this one together. Would have never picked the gold/yellow splash of color fabric and really don't know why I did, but so glad I decided it had to be used or given away. Can't even remember when or where I got it, must have been on sale for a really good price. One of those "I don't know what I'll do with it, but have to have it at that price" kind of fabrics. I'm sure I can't be alone in doing that.....Do you know how many more blocks we have yet, I keep thinking 2 weeks so 4 blocks, is that right?

So as you can see we have 8 blocks in each of the categories and 2 extra blocks posted just for fun. Since we need 12 blocks all together to create a 60x60 lap quilt we will not have any more breaks for the quilt along. Over the next 4 weeks we will post the last four blocks that will finish out the sampler quilt top. I will also post some extra blocks each week for those that have not done all the blocks in either category so that they have some choices to finish out the quilt top.

So if I understood what she said right we have four more blocks to go with some extras thrown in there

I finished two more blocks yay!!! I just cut out Aster this morning so I should be able to sew it this afternoon or tomorrow sometime

Elisa, actually thank you and everyone else for putting up with my learning curves of running something like this. I could not have asked for a better group to get this going and understanding the flubs along the way. I have learned quite a bit myself, and while I am behind on my blocks and will eventually catch up, I think as a whole this has been a great adventure.

Actually, I am sitting here as we speak working on the design for Septembers Quilt Along. Septembers QA is going to use the skills we have learned here and continue with learning things while giving us a themed lap quilt.

Hope you will join us for that one too Elisa...

Like cutting tips. and putting the painters tape on the quarter inch line in front of the machine so you can sew a perfect seam all the time (or most of the time ok ok or part of the time but with free advice I suggest lol you take it!

I am only 9 blocks into my quilt so far behind but I will catch up and even if this is finished post my quilt top. I am pretty good at getting it all together and since its for Me and its Christmas I want this one done. Wyldwytch thanks so much for hosting this its been so fun to work on and so fun to watch come together.

Thank you for getting to this, you guys are all really helpful.

Jaba, we have 4 more blocks to go to finish out the top. So over the next 4 weeks, no breaks, there will be 1 block posted for each category, 1 easy and 1 challenge. I will also be posting a bonus block that will either be paper pieced, made using a template, or containing curves. The simple methodmto my madness on that is those are some of the skills you'll need for Septembers Quilt Along...

Wyldwytch,

If we get to vote, please no set in curves. They are not my friends.

I will be real close, figure I need 7 more blocks to make it the size I want. I need to count again, got to many going with the 3 groups I'm in for the Boomerang blocks. I always make at least a queen size so it will fit a bed. Us and all our kids have kings, except 1 daughter, so at least it will lay across the bottom for a blast of color or something. Almost makes me want to sleep in a twin again, yeah right, if I was younger and still had the energy. Okay that's another subject got way off the track

I plan to do the whole sequence again when the nasty tendonitis in my left hand is better. Right now, I can sew a bit but I really can't do a lot with a ruler and a rotary cutter. I explained to the hand specialist, that I saw today, that quilting contributes to my mental health. He gets it. I love watching everyone's quilts grow and thank you all for sharing.
