Welcome saskgirl709. Looking forward to seeing your blocks. How wonderful you are making the quilt for your sister. I know she'll love it. See you back here in September.

This group is growing nicely! Yay! Some had concerns about using certain fabrics. I'm determined not to buy any new fabrics (yea, right LOL) and I think I'm going to do mine in batiks. I've been to a few shows and expos recently and I bought some precuts and just 1-2 yard pieces. I think these will work well--hope so. I also thought about using Christmas fabrics. I buy these beautiful Christmas fabrics thinking I'll make a Christmasy quilt but never have--maybe now. Hmmmm--decisions, decisions!

Hello, janRN, I love love love batiks and I imagine the blocks would be beautiful in batiks. . . . . but, I think this project would be wonderfully beautiful in Christmas fabrics! If there is a vote, I vote Christmas. Can't wait to see whatever you do!
