Here we are at Week 9 already. Time has flown! This week's quilt blocks are - a Kansas Dugout quilt block a Half Square Triangle quilt block and a Drunkard's Path quilt block.

When you are making the Kansas Dugouts for that quilt block this one would look better if you can keep the center part skinny rather than fat. If you are using a 1 1/2" template for the 6 1/2" quilt block size then measure from the seam and cut it at 5/8". If you are using the 2 1/2" then I would use a 1" center cut. This means you sew the left side swatch together with the center swatch. Then lay your ruler on the seam and measure over from that seam. Trim down to the size you need. Make sure you use the same measurement for all of your Kansas Dugout Blocks.
