Default Rhonda's Second Sampler Quilt Along - Week 8 - Cora

Combination 4 Patch Blocks are the order of the day this week! Both 4 patch square blocks and 4 patch triangle blocks are used in this quilt block design.

So as usual they use my cut down method which I think makes your blocks more accurate and you have better control of the size as you go.
Just make sure to measure each time you complete a step.
It will save a lot of frustration when you are done.

Link for the blocks I used:

To make this quilt block into a 12 1/2" unfinished size you will need a 2 1/2" template.

This week I have also included a picture of what the quilt would look like if you made a quilt using only this block with no sashings.

You can take a look at the layout picture to see what Blocks you need and where to put the colors. If you change the color arrangement you will get a different look from mine.

So try it out and see what you can make with this design! Have fun!

If you need any help don't hesitate to ask. I'll be more than happy to help.

If you need templates let me know. I will need your postal address and PLEASE send it by pm or email not on the open board. The templates are FREE no fees or postage needed.

This quilt block I called Cora

Oh this is a good one for me....I need to practice on my 4 patch. You'd think those would be easier than star points, but not for me....and I'm going to make the 6 1/2" size again.

I will not be starting on Rhonda's blocks until after Christmas when I have more time and able to purchase one or two of her books. Certainly looking forward to the pleasant journey with her as my guide.
