    This is my Hamburger Soup as I make it...

    Brown 1 pound of Hamburger....

    Then add the following in the pot

    2 cans of pettie diced tomatoes
    4 cans of beef broth
    one frozen bag of soup veggies ( mixed is fine too )
    half head of cabbage diced.
    half onion diced
    couple stalks of celery
    2 tablespoons of parsley
    1 tablespoon of crushed basil

    just let it simmer

    A lb of boneless skinless chicken (I use 2 breasts). A large thing (16 oz?) of Fat Free Sour Cream. One can of Fat Free Cream of Mushroom soup and one package of dry Lipton Onion Soup Mix. Mix those three together, pour it over the chicken (frozen or thawed, doesn't matter) put it on low. When you're ready to eat, open it up, shred the chicken or cube it. Serve over rice or noodles.     When you have a husband who does not eat tomato sauce - as I did - you need to get creative. My youngest daughter just requested this (again, I think). Since I've already typed it out, I thought I should share it here too. It's a marvelous meal and leftovers are to die for. I wrote it for her however - so you can overlook the personal comments. If you don't know how to make white sauce - just google it!

    1 cup sour cream
    3 Tablespoons sugar
    1/8 teaspoon soda
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 cake yeast (I used a package)
    1 egg
    2 Tablespoons soft shortening
    3 cups flour (I used about 2 1/2)
    2 Tablespoons butter, softened
    1/3 c brown sugar

    4 Cups hamburger buns – NOT FRESH
    1 Cup sugar
    2 Cups whole milk
    ½ stick butter or margarine
    ¼ Cup raisins or dried cranberries
    1 teaspoon Vanilla
    2 Beaten eggs

    Crumble bread in mixing bowl. Add milk, let sit until bread is soft. Add sugar, melted margarine or butter, and eggs. Mix well.

    In a mixing bowl Put 1 1/3 cups peanut Butter.(reg or chunky) and 1 jar of Marshmallow Fluff 6 1/2 or 7 oz. set aside.
    In medium sauce pan put 2 cups sugar and 1/2 cup milk (1% or 2% work good) set burner to med low and stir occasionally when it comes to a boil let it boil for 3 minutes and stir a few times. after 3 minutes pour the boiled mixture into the Peanut butter and fluff. Mix up well and pour into a 9x9 buttered dish.

    7 cups cucumbers - peeled and sliced
    1 cup green pepper - cut in strips
    1 onion - sliced
    Mix all of the above together and place in a large glass jar (not plastic).

    Pour over in the following order:
    2 cups sugar
    1 teaspoon celery seed
    1 teaspoon whole mustard seed
    2 teaspoons Kosher salt

    The In & Out is really simple. Cut lots of bright colored pieces 6 1/2" long and 4 1/2" wide. Add 2" strips to all the sides that are 6 1/2" long. (This makes the width now 6 1/2" also - whalla - a 6 1/2" square.) Then just alternate the resulting blocks - one with black strips going sideways, one with black strips going up and down, etc.
