  1. Bernina QE 440

    by , 08-28-2012 at 05:42 AM
Wow can I relate to you, Shirley, I bought the Bernina and didn't touch it for 6 months left it in the box, was afraid of it thinking I would touch something and break it! Took a class, and honestly got next to nothing out of it. I have learned to appreciate and totally love my Bernina. Experiment and trial and errors don't be afraid of it, read the instruction book (which is not always clear for new machines, espcially computer ones) I did learn to unplug the foot petal completely, make sure the ...

I'm looking for an additional 2 yds of a discontinued Thimbleberries fabric to add to the backing of my first quilt. If anyone can assist, I would appreciate it. Here is the info: Thimbleberrie Treats no Tricks, russet confetti on burnt orange, Style #5116-3. I saw it at an online store but I can't get them to respond after 2 e-mails and 2 voice messages. Thanks for any assistance. My e-mail is [email protected].

  7. Victorian Table Runner

I've seen that several of you love Annette Ornelas' Victorian Table Runner as much as I do. In fact I love all of her patterns. They are so relaxing to do and it is like magic at the end when you take a piece that you have inserted into straight seams and create a beautiful curve. Your whole design changes ... like magic!

Annette has just released some beautiful new patterns! I particularly like Turtle Walk and Glory Waves. I can't wait to see what is next!

  8. Iron for quilters

    by , 08-27-2012 at 08:58 AM
I have yet to find the perfect iron for use in the piecing process.
First of all, it has to be cordless and steamless.
But it also has to have several other features.
What features would be important to you for your quilter's dream iron?

  10. Bald Eagles

    by , 08-27-2012 at 02:26 AM
I was on a benefit cruise last night when a child on board spotted two 'big birds' at the top of a tree on an island - bald eagles. One of the women in our local quilting group made a lovely eagle block as her contribution to a raffle quilt - which I now own having bought it from the winner - so I'm going to copy it and make a memory quilt
