  5. Mom's half done quilt

    by , 01-24-2018 at 11:02 AM
My mother starting sewing a quilt before she passed away I am trying to finish it. You sew 4 8" x8" squares together 2 plain 2 pattern then "open" them so that each side matches and consists of 4 triangles. The outer edges of the square are the original squares folded in half. How do I sew all these individual squares together??? You can't bat and quilt it as both sides are the pattern. I sew for a living making boat covers but this is different.... Thanks for any insight on ...

  6. Looking at die cutting for quilting

    by , 01-22-2018 at 06:53 PM
If any one has any favorite die cutting machines that help with quilting blocks and appliques , I would love some guidance. I am looking at the Sizzix Big shot . I have an old cricut explore and really don't want the new cricut maker . The Sizzix looks like it will cut a lot of material at one time. Is is really better to purchase the Big shot pro or will a less expensive one work. Thank you for any suggestions.

This was ready at 2:00pm today. Who knew we are so capable of whipping one up when it is important:

  8. Fusible Webbing Question

    by , 01-21-2018 at 08:22 AM
I am putting together pieces of a wall hanging. The instructions call for paper-backed fusible adhesive. Would that be single or double sided Heat & Bond? Long ago I traced the pieces onto fusible interfacing, but never got around to cutting them out. Probably that's a good thing?
