Does anyone know where I could get a manual and/or date of this Free-Westinghouse sewing machine? It was given to me by a cabin neighbor and she said she used it to make curtains in the 50s. That was the last time it was tuned up. I found one for sale on eBay but didn't get any reply from the seller. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

  6. Fusing tiny pieces?

    by , 02-19-2018 at 07:20 AM
My wall chart has 36 tiny stripes for 4 cat blocks, 36 stripes for their tails, 36 circles for their spots, tiny triangles for noses, ears, etc.

I fused them all 10+ years ago and none adhered to fabric. I am planning on using Heat & Bond Lite and try fusing them again. My questions--can I place the Heat & Bond Lite on the back side of the fabric and then cut? What do I put under the fabric pieces to keep the glue off my ironing board?

I am making microwave potato sacks out of flour sack towels. They are 100% cotton, but plain white. Can I use acrylic paint or an iron-on transfer to put a design onto them? Will they be all right in the microwave? Thanks, DERichards
