  1. Piecing long borders question

    by , 01-13-2019 at 01:06 PM
    I am a new quilter.

I need to attach borders to my quilt top. I will need to piece at least 2 strips together to get the proper length.

Does it matter where the join lies on the quilt top? Should the join be directly in the middle, thus cutting off the top and bottom of the strip, or does it matter? I will join the pieces together with a mitered edge.

  2. Problem attaching ruler foot

    by , 01-13-2019 at 06:00 AM
I have a Janome 6600 and want to try quilting with rulers. However I can’t attach the ruler foot as there is what I think is a metal slide that prevents me from removing the presser feet screw. I believe this metal thing has something to do with the accufeed system. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Anyway to move the slide??
