I'm seriously thinking about buying this software. Any suggestions, comments, advice will be much appreciated. Thanks!

I'm new to this blog today so I've just seen your question. I have EQ 5. I also have the software to do the "Dear Jane" and "Dear Hannah" quilts. I've found I can download updates on the software, and you can copy fabric swatches off of fabric company websites to use with the software. They would prefer you don't as they sell software to update fabrics. I'd have to write down how I do the fabric swatches to be specific, but I'd be glad to share with you if you buy it. I've tried other computer design software, but always found the EQ much more reliable and there is a lot more information and help available with this product. I have also purchased the books to help. I've previously had EQ 4 and didn't find that much of an upgrade to make the cost of a new program worthwhile for a home quilter. I'm sure the new software would be more help to someone designing their own quilts to sell patterns though. Hope this is of help to you.
