hello everyone. my name is carol. have really enjoyed and learn so much from this site and your post so finally got around to joining. am new quilter and loving it! My problem is even if i am a simple stich in the ditch quilting, i always end up with a couple of tugs on back of quilt. im bascially teaching my self to do this so I could sure use any advice. I pin carefully but still get them. Help really appreciated.

    Hi! Try lengthiness your stitch length to 3.5-4.0. Also, if possible, start in middle of quilt and quilt north to south then switch to s to n, or east to west then west to east. When you quilt , use a walking foot. Also, this technique helps your material from shifting too much. Hope that helps!

    thanks so much i will definitely try that. rest of quilt maybe perfect but then you turn it over and there they are. im so new at this only done two large quilts and couple of lap quilts. i am doing this on my home brothers machine i wondered if that had something to do with it as well.
