Is that a good excuse to be late for work on Monday morning? I thought I had plenty of time, but I ran over when I stopped my usual routine to cut binding strips for my quilt this morning before I went to work. I just couldn't wait until tonight to do it. It was a quick job, but apparently not quick enough. I was 10 minutes late this morning. I just was so anxious to get the binding started after taking yesterday afternoon to watch a movie and do some housework and play with the dog.

Tonight I will trim the selvedges and put the stips together. Tomorrow I will trim and square my quilt top and by Wednesday I will be ready to start sewing the binding to the quilt. I'm so excited. I will have made a quilt in less than a month. Pretty good for a beginner.

One thing I learned on this quilt is that I will never quilt anything
bigger than a lap quilt on my little Bernina. It was not fun wrestling with this quilt top at times, but the quilting came out really nice and I'm proud of it.

Have a terrific Monday everyone. {{{HUGS}}}

    Can't wait to see a pic of it all finished. That is fast for someone who works fulltime and is a beginner! You should be proud of yourself!

    I do not like quilting a large quilt on a domestic machine either. I did one for my daughter in three parts, then sewed the parts together at the end. Kind of, sort of like quilt as you go, but in long strips. I just avoid the whole issue by making only small quilts!
