I have a Pfaff creative 2.0 sewing/embroidery machine. When I use stitch #89 to quilt gingerbread scallops on my roofs, on my quilt sandwich, the bobbin thread shows on the top. The original tread tension is 9. I've reduced it as far as possible and still the bobbin thread shows. When I take the same stitch and do it on a single piece of fabric the bobbin thread is fine. I've been told I "CAN'T" quilt using decorative stitches because of the feed dogs. I have problem with this, as it is not a cheap machine and I should be able to add texture quilting to my quilts. Can anybody help me?

Two suggestions. You may need a walking foot since you're quilting on top, batting, and backing. On my Viking, I need to lower pressure. Read your machine manual. If that doesn't work, use same thread both in needle and bobbin. Good luck!
