Size: 576.0 KB made this quilt right before Christmas using only fabrics in my stash for the entire project! (Now I have room to buy more!)

Since I love making Scrappy projects, I fell in love with it at first sight, but knew it had to be made as a quilt. I added an extra row to the bottom of the tree to make it taller, and also added two rows of background pieces about the tree since I didn't want it to be a square quilt. I also added an additional two borders around the quilt. The finished size is roughly 60X72.

Hi quilter1: What a beautiful quilt! And all from scraps? How very creative you are!. I am fairly new to sewing with a sewing machine. I am trying to teach myself to use it correctly and effectively. I have felted wool to make hats and mittens, made ugly potholders, draft dodgers, coasters and am currently working on a bath towel mat made from old t -shirt scraps. I have a self healing mat and rotary cutters that I bought myself for my birthday last year. So I used it to cut 1"x4" strips from old t shirts to make my thrifty bath rug. I have to be frugal as I have a mortgage, car payment etc. and am by myself ..So, I told myself I would just use old fabric that i have on hand to make things for now. Your quilt is outstanding! Congratualtions! It is very beautiful. hope someday I can learn to make quilts like the ones I have seen here on the Quilting Board.
