I don't want to take away from the prints, but rather draw attention to how the landscape changes from one acre to another in the air.

Should I stitch in the ditch?
Should I do free motion designs?
All one design? I was thinking of the wave design but it just looks so busy over this very busy fabric.

Should I stitch 1/8 inch from the seam around all of the blocks or just some of them?
I have a yellow thread that exactly match the border and the back, I was thinking of using that.
I will add a pix of the entire quilt if that will help.

Stitch in the Ditch could work.

Neat idea on the quilt. You could do each color square a different design. Example brown, rows, yellow circles ( wheat or corn) others sew at an angle. This would give each a differt look like you were in an airplane.

I'm imagining some of them with rows, like farmland, some others with curvy paths... how ambitious do you feel? ;-)
