Just learning to sew and dug out very old sewing machine that was working fine when put away many years ago. Made a costume for a grandchild with basic stitching without problems.
NOW, however, when I tried to thread my bobbin with another color thread, the bobbin threader doesn't engage and wind. I have no idea what to do.
It is a Dial and Sew Model 916 SS. Purchased new in the early 1970's. Was made in Osaka, Japan for Koyo Machine Enterprises in St. Louis, MO.
Have been trying to locate a manual but, so far, no luck.

One of our daughters and I really want to learn how to make quilts and I hope we can at least start with this machine. If anyone has any idea as to what I may try to get the bobbin winder moving again and to find a manual, I would be greatly appreciate your help.
