I made a table runner and the three center squares are a little big and look wrinkled when I lay it out. Do you think if I quilted an x in the block it would help? I am at a loss as to how to fix this. nancyjean59

The first thing I would try is a generous spray of spray starch and a steam iron. see if you can shrink some of the fabric out. Even giving it the body that spray starch causes is a big plus in trying to ease in fabric.

Thanks that sounds like a good idea and I will try it.

How about easing the fabric on all four sides in a bit to take in the balk of the blocks? Use as iron to get it like you want it and then you can use tiny stitches at the edges to keep the fabric in place. Not seeing your project I am just imagining what it looks like so this may not be possible if I am visualing it incorrectly.
