I started this quilt 2 years ago, it gets worked on in stages.

I pieced the background, machine appliqued the swans, lilies & cat tails, machine embroidered the wisteria.

The cat tails are a yarn that I couched to give dimension.

The swans, lily pads were fused and machine stitched.

The lilies were individual petals that were thread painted, with the center highlighted with yellow.

The fabric used for the wisteria was fussy cut to get the feel of vines over the stream, and I am now machine embroidering more wisteria to hang down.

The water was quilted in a rippling effect, as the swans are moving down the stream.

This will hang in my bedroom. It measures 48" x 36"
