I ordered a walking foot for my Singer Simple® yesterday. My model # wasn't listed but one of the reviews stated she uses it on hers. I have so much to learn about sewing/quilting on a machine. I love to create and if it makes it faster then..... All I can do is read, watch videos and try. I see all these beautiful quilts and patterns in aww. So many techniques, ruler/cutting methods... it tends to be a bit overwhelming. With that said, I will find one that jumps out at me and then research.

I know just how you feel. I am new to quilting and it is very overwhelming. I started with a book called Your First Quilt Book (or it should be) by Carol Doak. I started with the table runner and it was a great project to start with. I made a practice one and then I made another for my daughter. I learned so much by dong this. Now I have started just making different blocks to get the technique down. My next project will be a lap quilt. The big quilts are just too overwhelming for me now. The smaller projects make it fun. You can make the table runner and then change the type of block you make. Good luck.

I agree it is overwhelming. I have sewed all my life, but quilting is a different language on its own. I jumped in with one of the McCall's mystery quilts last year. They lead you through it with all the instructions. It turned out really pretty. Happy quilting.
