There is a space for public or private next to the bookmarking section. If you are selecting posts to save, why would you mark anything other than private? Isn't it to keep special interesting ideas for yourself? Why would you want that "public"
Does anyone else find this odd? Or maybe it's just me

Some people want to keep their bookmarks private, others don't mind them being seen :D it is just a personal preference :D:D:D

I don't really understand it either. It's posts that have been posted publicly, not like having the whole board see your private messages (pm)
Oh Suzi, I misread what you wrote. I don't understand why they are private but either way is okay with me :)

Mine are all public. I figure anyone can see them on the board too. Some people may not want people to see what they have bookmarked. I guess that's why there is that option.

upper left corner.next to "my profile" . is the bookmarked threads..
any ideas or info you see on the board..or pictures of quilts, you can select "bookmark"..then you won;t have to search for it at a later date.

now above a message you are looking at, on the upper left side, it will have "bookmark?" "click on that, you can add your own title, so you can easly identify it..
great feature i think!
