While I was on vacation, I pulled off for gas and saw a CVS right next door. I remembered that some members here bought the $15 machine here. So in I went and a nice lady showed me right where it was. I couldn't wait to get home and try it out. If it worked well, I would save it for the DGKs for Christmas. Well, it is awfully cute and was already threaded with a bobbin as well. It does not have a light, a stitch length control, and no reverse. It sews well enough for mending, but not for quilting. So I'm going to return it to my [somewhat] local CVS. I'd rather that my DGKs learn all of the features of a sewing machine. Sigh

sounds like one of those "you get what you pay for" deals.

It would be nice for a small child just wanting to do what Mom and Gram is doing. Good learning machine for them.
