You are so kind and faithful to take on this project and complete so many hats. I am sure they will be appreciated.

What pattern do you use? I have a bunch of fleece I could use for hats too!

You are so generous and kind. When someone is in the middle of fighting cancer with chemo each gesture of kindness means more that you know.

What a wonderful idea. I gave 5 quilts to a chemo doctor for his patients to use while taking chemo. Last time they told me they didn't need anymore. All the nurses and staff went wikd over them and the work on them.
The Vets will appreciate those hats and use them, especially in the cold winter. May you be blessed.

My quilting group will send at least 15 fleece lap quilts to our area VA house in Big Spring Texas this month. Many of us made two each- we only have 10 in our group. I know they will be appreciated as will all of those caps you have made. Hopefully these small gestures of Love will help fill where needed. I don't think we can ever do enough for our Vets, for everything they have done for all of us and our country! Thank you for what you did.

Thank you all for your nice comments. The pattern is "Fleece Hat in a Flash!", a tie dye Diva pattern, purchased at youcanmakethis.com. The only change I made was to make the band in 1 piece, instead of 2. It saves a little bulk when sewing it together. I think it actually took longer to trace the pattern and cut it out than to sew it together. When I dropped them off at the VA, the guy at the front desk asked me where I got them. When I told him I made them, he couldn't believe it. I don't mean to sound like I'm bragging, but I've also made/donated 49 flannel wheel chair sized quilts and 43 walker bags. They are truly grateful for anything.
My son was an MP in the Army for 6 years (he got caught in a stop loss). He was in Korea, Bosnia, and Gitmo. he came home in one piece, and I'm so grateful. This is just my little way of paying back for those that didn't.
