Default 16 fabric circles equals 1 Christmas tree

Our quilt group was recently challenged to make a Christmas item and one of the ladies came up with a cute fabric Christmas tree. I thought it was so sweet that I just had to have one. In fact I am going to make 3. I have cut out my 48 circles, put a running stitch in them and now just need to pull them in and tie them off. A job to do in front of tv tonight. I may even glue some small beads as decorations.

That is adorable!!! Are they just hot glued together? I would love to make one of these. Could you please share the size of the circles etc.

Thanks so much.
