I went to Joanne's the other day looking for a car print fleece, didn't find it but did find two fabrics for neck ties for my husband. The one fabric I was able to make 2 ties from one from each side of the fabric. The silver / magenta fabric was especially obnoxious to work with, but made such lovely ties it was worth it.

I have been making them for years. The first ones I made I took apart a store bought tie and reconstructed based on that, but since then I have refined how I make them and have made my own pattern now.
