It's a Met- short for Metropolitan. A Metro was made by GEO and doesn't look anything like this car. I have a '57, mardi gras red and frost white. Not a convertible, although our son has a '60 yellow and white one- he uses it as his daily driver in the summer.

Be careful- they are like Lays potato chips- you can't have just one!
