Default ? about bug control

A while back, someone posted a hint to control flys or wasps. Something about a baggie. I thought I had it bookmarked, but can't find it. Does anyone remember the post? I have noticed a lot of wasps in the front of our house lately, and they are making their way inside. Thanks in advance.

Wasn't it just a baggie of water? I remember reading that thread. I think the reason it works is because the water reflects the fly, bee or wasps image and they think they are out numbered and leave. I believe that they just hung them up wherever the pests tended to congregate.

It was a baggie of water but I think it also had a penny in it. Not sure.

Zennia is right. It's a baggie of water with a penny in it. I have heard of it for flys, not sure if it works on all insects but is worth a try!

Does the baggie have to be open? Or does it need to be sealed shut (thinking ziploc)?

Thank you all for your responses. I filled a baggie with water, added a penny, and hung it on our porch railing. I'll let you all know if I see wasps in the next day or so. Thanks again.

The flies and wasps and spider too all think it is a welcome sign here, just for them.

You use the baggie with water and 4 or 5 pennies to reflect the sun.

What if it's on a side of the house that doesn't get sun?
