Default Anyone else addicted to their iPod?

At school I razz the kids about their constant use of their cell phones, I tell them it's like they are hooked up to their life support system. Little do they know, that's how it is with me and my iPod. I'm plugged in when I go walking, when I'm cleaning, when I'm doing laundry, when I'm washing dishes, even when I'm sewing. At least I was.

The battery fried. I'm going through withdrawl. I have 2 really old iPods my son left behind when he moved, found one of them today. I'm charging it up now and hoping that it has enough memory to download all my music on. Can anyone else relate to this?

I just got two Ipod shuffles ( first generation) at a thrift shop and am hoping the batteries are still good. Got to play around with them. They were cheap and came with accessories. I have wanted one for a long time.

I'm the same with my IPad. Besides my sewing machines it is the one thing I use everyday. I have to pick up my DGS from school everyday and it is great for waiting in the car, to read or just play. I use my IPod when I am quilting at my frame. I seem to go better with music.

Oh yes. I always have my old ipod. Mostly for audio books . I have tons of music on it too but don't listen to it so much any more. When it fries I will probably buy a inexpensive mp3 player so I can still listen to my books .

I'm addicted to audio books too. There is very little music on my Sony Walkman mp3, but I listen to books whenever I drive or sew. My library has free downloadable books so I never run out.

Make that three of us. I listen to audiobooks exclusively when I drive. If the book is good enough, I take the long way home.

I'll also listen when I'm cleaning house or doing something else "mindless" - but I can't listen to a book and quilt/sew at the same time. I find that only one of them gets my full attention and I either make mistakes sewing or need to rewind the book because I stopped paying attention. I will listen to music on my IPod when I sew though.

I love all of my I devices!!

I love my ipod. I had my car hooked up so I listen to my music all the time in my car. At home I just listen to itunes on my computer. I also use my ipod for audio books when I am quilting. I have a shuffle I take to the gym with me.
My new toy is my iPhone. When my Blackberry died, RIP, my daughter suggested getting the iPhone. I have been having so much fun with it. I love facetime with my granddaughter.

It depends on the format the song was recorded on and also on the length of the song. You can estimate somewhere between 100 and 300 songs for this size (more likely 100 than 300!). Here is a website with more info:

Im 72 and have avoided tech toys till now. I have a cell phone but only know how to call and answer all the other stuff is a mystery.
Just ordered a Kindle Fire. This will be a big learning experience for me.
Whats the difference between an Ipad and a Kindle? I know the Kindle does more than just books.
