I am a FREE Pattern/design/ (brother)Machine emb design hoarder.........

It seems, if it is FREE, I collect it...

I used to just book mark it, put it in my favorites, etc... to only go back later and discover that it is no longer available or is no longer free.
Now, I save every pattern, design, drawing, etc that I might want to refer back to at a later date. I convert it into a PDF file and save it to my computer.. then I have it, and can print it when I want to make a pattern or design.

Am I alone in doing this???

Nope - I think we're just optimistic. If I lived long enough to actually make all the patterns I've saved I'd be around for a long, long time!

I download PDF and save all free quilt patterns I find that I like. I will never be able to make them all, but, you never know when you may want to make one of them. I keep them on a separate memory card so also when a friend or family member asked me to make them a quilt, I let them browse through to see if there is one they like.

I print the things out and have notebooks full of stuff I'm sure I'll never make but hey it was free!

I find that I have "Saved" masses of stuff. And of course I always label them first with "Pattern" so that I can find it when I look for it, but usually I'm simply dismayed at how many patterns that I HAVE saved. Now I have a small problem erasing them, I always thing that "It" would make a nice quilt/lap robe for..or maybe..or just to have on hand right after this is done or that is...no, do I really LIKE that pattern? Maybe I'd be better off deleting it, but then..maybe someday?

And so the list grows of my "patterns" that I've saved.
