I was given a year last year but didn't really know what all it did except for the free 2 day shipping. the past few months I've been getting caught up on TV shows that I like but have missed. I got rid of cable and cable TV, I get internet on my tablet and can mirror it onto the TV. 100 a year is a lot better than a lot of things out there and I know that I'm saving tons of money by not having cable tv. its the only thing that I'll use, that and my tv antenna,
you should check out what all comes with prime, I didn't and missed out on a lot this whole past year. They even have some of the sewing channels on it.

I like Prime for its convenience. I do like to buy local whenever possible but when it comes to driving around to find an item, the gas factors in too, plus there are things I can't easily find locally that I can get right to my door. For example I eat a certain brand of cereal (very high fiber) which isn't carried any place but Whole Foods. Whole Foods is a drive, in traffic, most of the time, so I get the cereal delivered 6 at a time and it is cheaper and no gas used and I didn't have to contend with traffic. I do believe between the gas saved, my time, and cheaper prices I have probably made the $100 back over the year, not to mention the TV watching options. But, if you don't think it is a bargain for you, then you shouldn't renew.

I use Amazon Prime for TV streaming. Totally hooked on their shows.

Wait...what?! If I sign up for Prime I can add someone for just the free shipping? Oh I need to look at that
You can select No rush shipping and get $ credit. I found it is usually only a day later delivery. Go to Everything Included with Prime page and see all it offers and the benefits.

When I worked, my office paid for Amazon Prime for me since I did the ordering for the company. I let it lapse after I stopped working. I only used it to save shipping time and cost.

If I ever want to buy something from Amazon that I need in a hurry or has an especially large shipping cost, I'll renew. It's been over a year, and I have found that I can live without it. If I'm willing to wait, I'll put an item on my wish list. When I have $49 worth of items to buy, I'll get free shipping on all of them. Otherwise, I'll pay the shipping costs. One would have to buy alot of merchandise in a year to break even with the $99 fee.

I've also found that the items listed as Prime often are not the least expensive. I think they increase the prices to make up for having to pay for the shipping.

There is also another option. One could sign up for a monthly fee of $10.99 that can be cancelled any time. If one wanted to buy an item with a large shipping fee and needed it fast, that could be a good option. It would need to be cancelled before the month end. I'm sure Amazon thinks that most people will forget to do it before their credit card is charged for another month.

I hate to shop so I'm always ordering something on there. If I can get it for about the same price as the store, I'm all for not making that trip! I also cut cable so I watch Amazon prime. For me, it's worth it. It just depends on how much you use it.

Actually, I think that it says something like, 'someone in your household'. However, I am sure there many ways around that.

My membership ends in February. I am going to renew my membership because they have added other things to the membership that before you had to pay extra for. Can't think of what they are now, but you can look it up.

Also, did you know if you don't need the shipping so quickly, you can get credit for asking for regular shipping. There are many things that I can certainly wait to receive. I don't know how much credit you get, but it would be good to look into it.

take a break from it, if you really miss it, rejoin. I think the one hundred dollars is normal price anyway.

I've been an Amazon prime member for a number of years now, love it. Along with free 2day shipping I enjoy my Amazon music , movies, books. My husband is an avid reader and likes all the books too. For us our savings are way over our membership fee
