When my daughter was 11, I strarted making outfits for her AG. One year I made matching dresses for her & her doll. Good memories, but, OMG, putting those tiny cuffs & other details was tricky. Your dresses are lovely, & what a way to invest time with your granddaughter!Bravo!

Those are fabulous. Did you use a pattern or design them yourself? When I was a little girl I had one of those tiny Ginny Dolls and my Aunt made her an entire wardrobe on a treadle machine. Even lined the coats, so I just know your granddaughter is loving these dresses and such.

Thank you!! I found several patterns for the clothes on line for free. I simple googled "free American girl doll clothes patterns" and came up with lots of free patterns. These are the ones my DGD chose herself and she also chose the fabrics. I am just the seamstress. We have been having fun picking out everything. I have much more to make because she wants a well dressed doll! We are not only making dool clothes, we are making memories.

My DGD got an American Girl doll for her birthday in the fall. Guess I need to get busy and make her clothes too. Just need to find a pattern when I'm at Joann's next time. Have tons of scraps so that won't be a problem. Thanks for the inspiration.

Those are so cute. I love looking at doll clothes and remember making them with my older sisters, mom and grandma. Here's a link to some free patterns if you'd like to have it.
