i collect whimsical angels, not the beautiful ones. My real passions are tea pots, glass paper weights and fabric, not neccesarily in that order :)

I do have a collection of angels, although not by my choice. I'm very involved in my Catholic faith. It seems that less religious people are comfortable with angels, so they always seem to give them to me as gifts. I actually started saving them and display all of them when I decorate for Christmas. Yay, I get to take them all out soon!

Angels are my Christmas theme every year! One year I made hundreds of pasta angels and hung them on the tree till my last day at work before Christmas. I took off lots and gave everyone at work one and brought the rest back home to my tree. I still cover the tree with them and always offer anyone who comes to visit to take one or two or three or more off and take it home with them. Just a few weeks ago one of the girls from work told me she still has hers and was thinking of making some.

A friend gave one to me several years ago, made with pasta and painted it white. I have it packed with Christmas decorations and it is on my tree every year. I like your tradition of pass them on to visitors.

You're lucky the bugs haven't found the pasta angels! Maybe only in warmer climates?

I have a 21 year old daughter that has Retts Syndrome. She is severely handicapped and I collect angels for her.

I also collect Angels......My favorites are Seraphim Angels by the Roman corp. Have over 100 of them... also collect Jim Shore, Boyd's, have many antique cherub trinket boxes and Cherub figurines....etc., etc., etc. My favorite... is a beautiful, agate cameo angel pendant that is my constant companion. Just too many to list but all in all I have around 300 plus. They are all in their original boxes and packed at present. Needed room for the mountain of fabrics that seem to be taking over my world. Prayerfully no one will ask about BEARS..... that's another MAJOR obsession.

Sadly I am a major collector and I am married to a major collector. We've basically run ourselves out of our house...Hubby has all his collections visible as he has a very large room. I try to keep his collections on display because he never leaves his room except trips to the hospital......and he really enjoys having his toys around him. :) SEWWWWWWW I keep most of mine packed. :( WE had put money down on a 3 story Victorian BUT our dream had to be put on hold when hubby took sick 12 years ago and the reality of the situation is.... now it can never happen sew I've learned to accept what is. Priorities change as we age and realize what is important. Besides I have 'REAL LIVE ANGELS' in my world these days!!! :) :) :) Blessings come in many forms.

I'm a collector too, though I don't have as many as some of my fellow angel collectors here on the board. I like hand crafted Angels mostly, have made lots and bought from other crafters. I make and sell Angel pins at craft shows. I also collect Angel Fabric and have a real hard time cutting it up as I don't want to chop off any heads or body parts. In our other home I had an Angel room, with blue ceiling and clouds, glow in the dark stars, and a forest painted around the walls. It was very peaceful up there. I don't have room in this house for that, so most of the Angels are spread out all over the house. I bought a small Christmas tree from Big lots last year with the hope of putting all angel ornaments from Hallmark on it this year and keeping it up all year. (I have a friend who keeps her pencil tree with her Barbie ornaments on it up all year and I thought that was a great idea!!) A great showcase. I also have lots of books on Angels and even my gift wrap and bags tend to be Angelic!!
