Here Comes the Boom with Kevin James is the best movie I've seen in a long time. They are starting to show it on cable TV a lot now. Another movie I loved, tho it's older, is Curly Sue with Jim Belushi. We love all the Harry Potter movies and watch the whole series a couple of times a year. I'm weird but I like some of the old Ernest movies (Jim Varney). Anything with Don Knotts or Mickey Rooney is good. I loved Where the Lilies Bloom too. My favorite chanel on TV is Turner Classic Movies. TCM keeps me paying the cable bill!

We recently watched "The Croods". Really funny movie. We also love fern gully 1 and 2. "The Other Sister" was also a laugh riot!

A good movie- old one is the Gnomemobile. Try watching the Shop Around the Corner

I would recommend GOD'S NOT DEAD. This is a good movie with a good message. I will buy it when it comes out on DVD.

My teen daughter spends lots of time in the sewing room with me. We watch lots of the old movies and I think she's better for it. They seem tame when compared to movies made today but if you watch them again you will appreciate them. Most of them I bought on Amazon for ~ $5 and we watch them over and over.

Yours, Mine and Ours - Henry Fonda Lucille Ball
Man's Favorite Sport - Rock Hudson Paula Prentiss
Cary Grant movies - North by Northwest, Charade, To Catch a Thief, Father Goose, Operation Petticoat
Hellfighters - John Wayne Jim Hutton (oilwell fire fighters)
John Wayne westerns & war movies, Hatari
Alfred Hitchcock - The Birds, Psycho, Vertigo, Rear Window (North by Northwest, To Catch a Thief)

Some that aren't as old
Freedom Writers
Hotel Rwanda (some very violent scenes but a true story)
The Boy in the Striped Pajamas
The Intouchables (French with subtitles so you can't watch while sewing but such a good movie)
A Good Year (one of my favorite movies)
Best Exotic Marigold Hotel
Under the Tuscan Sun
Holes

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas was a good movie but so depressing to me.

There is an old one I love, Enchanted April. Joan Plowright is in it. also the lady who now plays Delphine in Selfridges British show on PBS. She was thinner and had black hair with bangs but those same lovely light eyes.
