Default Any runners out there?

Just curious if there are any quilters out there that enjoy going out for a run? If so, do you do any fun runs? I am also a cross country and track coach for the school district I teach for. I am the process of getting ready for a 1/2 marathon in September. I am not the fastest runner but I enjoy the fitness and trying to keep my heart healthy.

I'm a runner! I'm injured right now, so I'm not racing, but I love to run.

Being injured is the pits! I hope you recover quickly so you can use your running feet!

I exercise for at least an hour a day. Biking is my favorite form of exercise. My daughter is a college cross country runner. I know how important a good coach can be to the moral of a team.

Good luck in your 1/2 marathon in September.

I sorta run. Slugs can move faster backwards through mud but I do HIIT with running on the treadmill. I am still desperately seeking the adrenaline rush you are supposed to get from running. I also do crossfit class call "spartan fitness" twice weekly and lift weights.

A college CC runner...how proud you must be! I love coaching and my team of runners are such great kids. There is something special about a distance runner!

Former runner here....arthritis and two knee replacements stopped it. I ran my last race, a half marathon, in 1999. I miss it dearly! I always felt such freedom when running. My exercise now consists of walking 30-45 minutes 3-4 times a week and strength training 3x a week. Doctors orders, nothing more than that!
