Just think of the brainpower we could have if we just found the missing brains! Seriously! But just think, now you get to go back to JoAnne's!! :-)

Here is my DH's theory---There is a hook hanging in the door that we do not seem to see. The door opens the hook swoops down and does a brain snatch,. Then we wander around like kids in our favorite candy store filling our carts. The only way to avoid the hook is to make sure you have your list grasped firmly in your hand before getting out of your car. While in the store DO NOT set your list down until you have completed it and have passed safely beyond the cash register. This method has saved me from those ""Why did I buy this'''' and lots of 2nd and 3rd trips to get that spool of odd colored thread I went to get on the 1st trip.

My youngest Son says when I do 3 dumb things NOW, I go upstairs and he is going to install a dumb waiter. YES, MY SEWING ROOM IS UP THERE!

You sound like me. Here's a poem I have hanging on my sewing/computer room:
I like my bifocals
My dentures fit me fine
My hearing aids are perfect
But how I MISS MY MIND!

My problem is that I usually forget the list as well :-). Going back to JoAnns for a second time shouldn't be all that bad. Just return the batting, looking for the backing and then look at all the sales!

I'm right beside you. I don't bother making a list on paper cause I always forget to take it. So I write on the palm of my hand. Won't forget or lose it that way.

I have a memo app on my smartphone. I use it when I go to the grocery and for all other errands with a list for that particular store. I just need to remember to take my phone. LOL!
