I hope everyone in the USA will have a fun and safe holiday weekend.!
I'll be with relatives at a pool party. (Me? In a bathing suit? Scary)

We're going to go to church first, then an afternoon of sort of lazing around, then a picnic and fireworks.

Love the pic of the GS's...me? I will be staying home as my dogs hate the noise on this day so I stick around w/ them, besides I can sit right on my front porch and watch the fireworks.
    Happy 4th fellow quilters.

Church then home to finish up prep for our evening cookout with family and friends. Then, we will watch the fireworks from our front yard....they are set off at the HS football field just across the road from us. Oh, yeh, we will make homemade ice cream, as well. Yummy!

Going to church, then lazying around, then off to a big family BBQ with lots of fireworks. Saturday we will have a parade in morning then city fireworks show in the evening, we can see them from our apt. Our town has a 4 day long freedom festival every year so there is lots to do.

My two daughters and one son-in-law will be here and we're cooking up some seafood. Even though we're in Texas and BBQ is king here, for several years we've had a "fish fry" on the 4th of July. We'll have catfish, plus boiled, grilled, & fried shrimp, and maybe some stuffed crab, along with homemade hushpuppies, coleslaw, and french fries. Yum Yum
