I love the convenience and use it when I visit Boston...but did find
that they don't always take the most direct route to your destination.

My son uses his car to drive for Uber and Lyft. Sometimes they drive around or wait around quite a while before getting a fare. They, of course, have to share the money with Uber, and incur wear and tear (mileage) on their own car. Yes, they deserve those tips, whether Uber says its already included or not. It really isn't...

My car wouldn't start after a long day at the hospital with a friend. I called Uber and went home. Told DH where the car was and went to bed. I honestly have no idea what it cost, didn't care, just wanted to go home. LOL My niece has used it several times when she has locked her keys in the car to get home and then use it to go back to her car with the spare keys. You'd think she'd learn by now but sure is glad she doesn't call DH and me that she is locked out again.

It would cost her much less to pay for Emergency Roadside Assistance on her car insurance. Ours is very cheap and boy, is it ever worth it when you need them.

My son always uses Uber for his airport trips in Charlotte, NC. So much cheaper than parking his car at the airport and when he arrives home, he is tired and doesn't want to drive. He had previously used cabs, but prefers Uber. DH and I had to laugh when we realized that he had called an Uber while at home, rather than ask us to take him to the bar where he wanted to party with friends. Also has app on phone and convenient pay. Personally have never used it.
