I'm sure in the 40's IS warmer weather than Vermont!! I lived in Jax for 16 years. I'm sure it did get cold like it is now - just don't remember it. I have to laugh at my friend down there - if it gets below 60 she builds a fire  Now in NC at 60 we are just cutting off the AC!!

It is around 10 here with Windchill factors around -5, -10, and -15. The wind blows like crazy sometimes!

In the morning it is about 0 or -1 and warms up to 10 to 15 on a good day.

It is sooooo tropical here!! I better find my bathing suit!! NOT!!

Low 30's here in SWFL. This is cold for Florida standards. We may be hitting 10 days straight of cold mornings not to mention the oranges in FL may not make it so the farmers are hoping for no freeze but its coming! Meanwhile I'm in bed...

They've been picking juice oranges around here, but the strawberry crops are in danger of being lost. I just saw a bit on the news about how home centers have sold out of portable heaters. When I went to feed the cat this morning, I could see my breath in the kitchen. Brrrrr! They never had THIS in the "Come to Flori-DUH" commercials!!! I've turned into a Florida wimp!

LOL! Me 2! we're so spoiled with warm weather but this is definitely a shocker here! I can only hope the farmers can salvage their crops.

Cute pic of your daughter and doggie! I really do feel sorry for you Floridians (is that a word?). Here in Ohio we expect it to get cold in the winter and we're prepared for it. I know it's harder to deal with the cold when you have few or no warm clothes or heat in your homes.
