Default Queen for a Day

While watching youtube this morning someone had a really old video of "Queen for a Day", I remember when this was on tv back in the day, anyway the lady that won the position of being queen was given a lot of gifts, and one of them was an Adler sewing machine, I was envious.

I remember that show too!! Also like the show where Art Linkletter interviewed kids LIVE on TV. "Those were the Days" as the Bunkers use to sing.

I remember coming home from school and watching Queen for a Day with my mother. It really was great show. I also remember Art Linkletter with the kids. They both were great. I think the Queen show was on in the '50s and Art was on into the '60s or even the '70s. Those were the day as Bunkers use to sing.

I barely remember that show. They tell me my great-aunt was in the audience one time.

I remember Queen for a Day. When I was really really young, our neighbor went on the show and won being Queen. She won lots and lots of stuff. She had 8 kids and they were even poorer than we were. She danced around her house for weeks. Wasn't Art Linkletter's show "kid's say the darnest things?"
