Thanks for the memories, Ditter. Back in the time when music had a melody, harmony and rhythm.

That was fun. I remember how shocking the cars were when they came in colors other than black, navy blue or deep green or maroon. I am so glad my teen years were during the 50's. Thanks for the memories and smiles. Take care.

I remember rock n' roll beginning when I was in the 7th grade. Of course we loved it.

I loved this! I was born in the late 60's but I have always felt like I had an "old soul" and that I was born in the wrong decade. I have always been jealous of those who lived in times when things were so much simplier and society wasn't so materialistic. My very first nursing job was in a small nursing home, 2nd shift. Every Saturday nite you could bet that every tv in every room was tuned to Lawrence Welk show. I would be doing my treatments or medication pass and I would be in the hallways singing along to the music. The residents were always amazed because I was in my early 20's. They just couldn't believe that I knew "their" music!

Thank you so much. Hubby and I watched it together. What fun we had back then. He had a 56 mercury convertible, was my best friend and is still my best friend. We will be married 49 years this year. Thanks for the look back in time. Sent this on to my sister who married her best friend 52 tears ago.
