A friend of mine has a disabled child that has to be fed. Baby bibs are to small, so off I go to the store and buy a flannel back table cloth and some bias tape. We now have clothing protectors than go to the child's knees while sitting! Does anyone else have any ideas?

I like this idea. You can get these table cloths at places like the Goodwill and other thrift stores.

Another suggestion - use ribbing (like t-shirt necks) for around the neck/head opening

There are adult bib patterns that I have come across online as well as ones for older kids.

Depending on the size of the child, you can make bibs out of hand or bath towels. I have one that I will send to you if you want to use it for a pattern. I purchased it at a goodwill thinking my DH would wear it when I cut his hair. It didn't work very good for that though. PM me if you think you can use it. Thanks! Sara

I knew I could count on the people of this board! Thank You for all of the ideas. This child gets a little excited at times that is why I went with "full" coverage. Much easier to wipe off the vinyl than pre-wash an outfit! Thanks again.Brenda

Do you by any chance know of a over the head (ribbibg at neck) bibs. Did not have luck at a pattern that I found, not sure why.

Thanks.
