This is our newest Texas Longhorn heifer calf, BZR (Box Z Ranch, where she was born) Cheyenne. She's being delivered today! She joins our other two, BZR Floyd (left) and BZR Royal Oak (both in my avatar pic).

BZR Cheyenne, almost six months old

Awwwww, she is adorable. I grew up on a farm in Iowa and to this day love cows and pigs.

Don't laugh...I actually bought some batik fabric that matches that burnt orange longhorn coloring! My hubby wants me to make a quilt featuring our babies!

Um-can you tell I'm a city girl? I thought there would be pictures of a new puppy or a Featherweight!! It's really cute in a picture but I don't want to meet it up close if you know what I mean. Thanks for posting-it's not often I get to see cows.

She is a beauty!!! I love cows and miss raising them. When I was younger, (teenager) we lived on the farm where my Mom grew up. My aunt raised a few cows just for the enjoyment and occasional profit of selling a calf. We named the cows and calves and they were so petted and loved. We even had a huge 2000lb bull named Henry that we raised from calf up. He was red and with a white face. Henry still thought we was a little calf and would come up an "nudge" you with his head, almost knocking you down. LOL! It broke my heart when my Mom and Aunt were no longer able to take care of the cows and they had to be sold.

She is cute. Even though she is big, you can see her baby face and little, bitty horns.
