Default Grateful

On this Christmas Eve, I am grateful to live in a country where I can safely worship God. I am grateful to be surrounded by my family and friends. I am grateful to have been able to spend time with those loved ones who have gone on before me, and although I miss them dearly, memories of my times with them make me smile. I am grateful that my children are safe, happy, pursuing their own lives, but still calling home occasionally. I am grateful that my husband and I are both in good health, both working, and still in love with each other. God has blessed me with an amazing, supportive partner, for which I am grateful. I am thankful for my church, which is peopled with kind, wise, gentle folk who make my life richer in so many ways.

Merry Christmas, everyone. May your hearts be full, your table surrounded by loving faces, and your home warm and happy during this joyous holiday season.

I concur. May we that have been so blessed, remember to be kind and generous to those who are less fortunate.
