The other day I went to Hancock Fabrics in Birm. Al for their fleace sale-54% off all fleace. Saw a very nice lady about 50yrs old with a beautiful pink paisley sort of bag. I told her "What a lovely bag you have, I love the colors and pattern. Would you mind telling me what pattern you used?" She looked me straight in the eye and said,"This is a Laura Ashley bag-and cost over $100." All I could think of to say was,"Well its still a beautiful bag." She stormed off. I have thought about this and everytime I do, I giggle.

I had a lady look at a quilt that came "free" from an on line store that I bought a bunch of clothes and other necessities from. It was a bonus for spending over $100. I kept it and planned to use for a dog blanket. She went on and on about it and asked me if I could make her one and how much. It was ugly...cheap material and poorly made. Who can figure people out.

We have a little gift store down town that carries a huge selection of Vera Bradley bags. The prices are outragious, I saw a little change purse I liked, looked at price tag and almost fainted, LOL. So, I bought a pattern and made my own, now I prefer to make my own bags and spend the money on fabric.

Well excuse mmmeeee! As she proudly walked off! Just think how many we could make for 100.00! People are funny-who would of thought a Laura Ashley instead of a Vera Bradley!!

my 11yr old GD had to have a Vera Bradley laptop backpack So Pappy bought her one for school $100.00. He better not complain when I spend that much on quilting
