I have lots of trouble with my vision and if I can see the first and last letters of a word, I can usually read it without any problems. I think we have read the words so many times in our lives that our brains have just memorized them without realizing it.

What a relief, hope you're right about the Fibro Fog, as I also read it easily.

no problem here....maybe because we are quilters and see what can be rather than just what is in front of us.

Easy-peasy, especially after teaching grades 1 & 2 for 31 years!!!! I would like to see the actual research results on this that would substantiate the claim of Alzheimer's being a long way off. Hmmmm...maybe I'll go check Snopes. Interesting subject. Thanks for sharing.

Just bear in mind that Snopes isn't fool-proof.

Like another poster said - maybe we can read it because we're quilters.

Of course I can read this, this is how I spell, lol. I don't believe only 55 people out of 100 can read this. Just saying.
