I make this exactly as you with the addition of a layer of batting. it keeps the rolls warm a bit longer. great both ways!

yea! the gift is self explanatory this way too. gave one to my sister without anything in it and she said "thanks sis, what is it?" haha so the loaf of any kind of bread is great
